Internship Bank crosses major milestone!

We are now 7 months old! And I'm elated to say that since our launch in mid-December, we have come a long way in giving life to Internship Bank’s vision of connecting deserving female students to established professional women in the industry.

We've secured 100 internships so far for young women. And the feedback has been terrific. The interns and their workplace mentors have all told us how much they enjoyed the experience -- and how valuable it was for them.

Other successes in our first six months of operation include:

  • 79 internship opportunities advertised on our website

  • Reaching a long-term collaboration agreement with L&L Partners

  • Starting our own YouTube channel. The channel consists of videos produced by Internship Bank that help students to ace their internships or job interviews!

  • A Legallyindia.com profile in April 2020

  • Mentions of us in various blogs, articles etc, (including  “The SCC Online Blog”, “Lawcutor”, “LexForti”, “Burnished Law Journal”, and “Column of Curae” etc.)

Some of the interns we’ve placed:

I need to thank the organizations who believed in our vision of providing internships to  deserving female candidates. All of us were aware of the challenges. But I'm so glad that we proved candidates with the right attitude and a passion to excel can do well irrespective of the brand name of their college!

There's still much work to be done. And we are working on a number of exciting ideas to increase the outreach of our young platform. We will fill you in on the details in upcoming blog posts.

The close-knit team at Internship Bank deserves a special mention. Shubhaankar Ray, Mansi Meena, Alice Tsui and Ankita Kar have worked tirelessly (and put up with my strict magic-circle work quality standards) to get Internship Bank going. And they have never failed to deliver. Their passion makes a real difference. And they're already changing the lives of young women and the future of our industry.  I know their hard-work will not go in vain!

I'm looking forward to many more organizations joining hands with Internship Bank in the future and playing an important role in promoting gender diversity and safe working environments.
